Hi there.
My name is Sam, and this is my personal website. I’ve embarked on a career in higher education, which began with a part time job in the student center of my undergraduate institution more than five years ago.
I’m passionate about finding innovative solutions to the issues facing higher education today, and supporting students and institutions as they navigate the challenges of the twenty-first century.
I’m currently Director of Communications & Strategic Initiatives at Independent Colleges and Universities of Texas, a nonprofit advocating for independent higher education sector in Texas. I’m excited to support an area of higher education I hold dear, and to see where this opportunity takes me.
I’m a 2017 graduate of the College of Education’s Program in Higher Education Leadership at The University of Texas at Austin, where I earned my Master’s of Education in Educational Administration. While there, I served as the Student Affairs Director for the Graduate Student Assembly, and held a graduate assistantship in the Office of the Dean of Students.
I’m a 2014 graduate of Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH, where I majored in Environmental Sciences and minored in Film & Media Studies, and served as both a writer and Directorate member of The Dartmouth. I spent a year post-graduation as an Orientation & Program Coordinator with the Collis Center for Student Involvement at Dartmouth.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my site!
