Hi there.
My name is Sam, and this is my personal website. I’ve embarked on a career in higher education, which began with a part time job in the student center of my undergraduate institution a decade ago.
I’m passionate about finding innovative solutions to the issues facing higher education today, and supporting students and institutions as they navigate the challenges of the twenty-first century.
I’m currently the Director of Policy and Communications at Independent Colleges and Universities of Texas, a nonprofit advocating for independent higher education sector in Texas. I’m excited to support an area of higher education I hold dear, and to see where this opportunity takes me.
I’m a 2017 graduate of the College of Education’s Program in Higher Education Leadership at The University of Texas at Austin, where I earned my Master’s of Education in Educational Administration. While there, I served as the Student Affairs Director for the Graduate Student Assembly, and held a graduate assistantship in the Office of the Dean of Students.
I’m a 2014 graduate of Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH, where I majored in Environmental Sciences and minored in Film & Media Studies, and served as both a writer and Directorate member of The Dartmouth. I spent a year post-graduation as an Orientation & Program Coordinator with the Collis Center for Student Involvement at Dartmouth.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my site!
